TNRD Library: Kamloops’ two branches of the Thompson-Nicola Regional Library have an extensive collection of how-to books on researching family history, and offer access to Ancestry.com at each branch. Using their Libby computer software you can download genealogical e-books and magazines to read at home on your computer or tablet.
Kamloops Museum and Archives: KMA is the repository of historical materials mainly relating to the non-Indigenous settlement of Kamloops and area. The Archives’ holdings include photographs, books, manuscripts, maps, newspapers, and other document types.
LDS Family Search Centre: The Family Search Centre of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, at 2165 Parkcrest Avenue, has a reference library and offers extended access to FamilySearch.org and other websites that normally require a paid subscription (e.g., Ancestry.com, Newspapers.com, findmypast.com, myheritage.com) .
